When I first started using LB, my Asana AI Teammate, I thought it would be most useful for reviewing existing projects and suggesting potential improvements and efficiencies. After trying it out, I realised I was getting much more value from using it while setting up projects instead.
One of the biggest benefits was when I needed to combine two separate workflows into a single master plan. Rather than manually reviewing the tasks in each workflow and identifying overlaps and duplications, I used LB to help create the new plan. This saved me a significant amount of time and made the whole process much simpler.
Once I started using it more, I found it was also really helpful for refining projects. For example, I used it to populate custom fields by pulling information from existing tasks, such as using due dates to populate a Month field and extracting names from task titles to populate a People field. This meant we could sort and filter information much more easily, without spending time manually updating each task.
I also used LB to help with some of the more repetitive housekeeping tasks, such as removing recurring information that was no longer needed. These are the kinds of updates that can take a surprising amount of time, so it was useful to let LB do the heavy lifting.
Overall, I found that LB was less about reviewing completed projects and more about helping me build and refine them. It saved time on the manual tasks, which meant I could focus more on the parts of the project that needed my attention.
