I’m not being alerted of due dates. My notifications are on for my phone and for Asana, I triple checked and tested it by setting new due dates and my phone won’t notify me. I’ve even deleted the app and redownloaded it and still nothing.
Can anyone help?
Side question: can I set multiple alerts like you can in your iPhone calendar? (I’m using the free version)
Welcome to the Forum @lmoore and thank you for reaching out! Sorry to hear you are running into this issue.
If you have notifications turned on, in addition to receiving notifications for tasks that are due, you should also receive notifications for the following cases:
A task has been assigned to you
A task you’re assigned and/or following has a comment posted
A task you’re following is marked as complete
A Conversation is posted in a Team or Workspace that you belong to
Can you please confirm you are receiving these notifications in your IOS device?
I am NOT receiving ANY notifications. My notifications are on, I’ve deleted the app before (and all data of the app and redownloaded it), and I have IOS 13 right now. So, can you fix this???
I don’t see the point in keeping this app if I can’t be notified…
If this doesn’t solve the issue I would recommend you to reach out to our Support Team who will able to take a closer look into this and assist you further.
Due to the small size of our team, we are not currently able to provide phone support but I have liaised with our support team who confirmed they have received your email and will reply as soon as possible. Please note that our team prioritize Premium support, so if you’re using the free version of Asana, it might take them a little longer to get back to you!
Sincere apologies for the inconvenience @lmoore. I hope this gets resolve soon!
I understand it may take a bit longer, but I’m unsure why someone would choose to go premium if notifications do not work on the version they’re using now. I’m currently trying out a few project manager apps, and I’d really like to use Asana, however, receiving notifications is the number one concern of any project manager app, so I hope this can be resolved before I need to switch to another because I really like a lot of features on Asana.
Hi @lmoore
Notification do normally work, I am an Android user so can’t help with iPhone specific problem. But the steps Natalia went through normally work to fix the issue
No, they haven’t. Over a week later I got an email where I had to re-state my problem and that hasn’t been replied to either…so for two weeks, this app has been unhelpful at work, which is unfortunate cause I put a lot of time into organizing my calendar into Asana. I love it’s functions EXCEPT that it won’t alert me (the first thing any project manager should be doing!!!)
Hi Jason,
I followed all of those steps, I’ve done so twice. I even deleted the app more than once, one time double checking that ALL data was erased from my phone. My phone is IOS 13 (I read Asana works with 9 and up) and up to date.
Notifications on my phone have never been an issue and all other apps work fine.
so frustrating - we can be the only ones complaining about this - I saw a thread that went back to 2017
so strange that a company this big still isn’t able to do something so simple. I’m going to see if I can connect to my google calendar for alerts - but the instructions I found said any changes you make might not be instant … good grief!
Hi.
I’m keen to use Asana but really need to be able to see what appointments I have scheduled to make sure I don’t schedule myself work in conflict with them. Is it possible to show my calendar events inside Asana?
If you haven’t figured out getting alerts to your phone yet I highly recommend setting up Project Buddy! It works perfectly! I almost gave up on Asana and have been searching for weeks to figure this out. Project Buddy + Asana: Sync with Google Calendar • Asana … and no i’m not sponsored by project buddy I’m just so thankful i found this solution after scouring the internet. hope that helps.
