MS Teams Integration VS Slack Integration

I’m currently using Slack to receive all of my Asana notifications so they do not fill my email inbox. My company just Migrated to Office 365 and my team would like to use MS Teams. I’m checking out the Teams and Asana integration. It does not seem the feature to forward Asana notifications to a specific channel much like the Slack integration does, unless I am missing something?

How are other people handling Asana notifications? We are building out Asana currently, so a large amount of notifications are being sent out to users currently.

Thanks for the feedback!

I know it’s been 9 months, but just thought I’d comment here because the Asana functionality in MS Teams compared to Slack is sorely lacking.

We’re also in the process of migrating over to Teams and I’ll sorely miss this because Slack notifications are so much better than desktop or email.

I agree with your comments about the Teams integration. Our University just moved over the MS O365 and will no longer allow us to work with Slack. I’m missing Asana with slack in my Teams experience.

The two things I do like about Asana integration with Teams is ability to display a project in a specific channel, although it’s frustrating that you can only mark items done and clicking anywhere other than the check box forces you to jump into Asana. I wish you could click and items would expand or show comments, etc.

I also use the web app in Teams to display the entire Asana website so I can jump over one tab instead of having to switch to browser if I want to quickly search for something or update a task/project, although it only loads nicely if I’m connected to an external monitor (not enough screen real estate otherwise, unless you go full screen mode on laptop).

Still… I’d love to get the notifications in Teams like I can with Slack. I feel like Notifications in Chrome are hit or miss and I’m not always sitting at computer. Then there are notifications via the app, but there are times I don’t have my phone nearby. While a dedicated Desktop app from Asana would be very much welcomed considered lots of other project management tools have one, I don’t think that’s anywhere in their development roadmap. The most frustrating experience is when I get a browser notification, Slack notification, email, and my phone/watch buzz :unamused:
