Moving Attachments between Tasks

Hello @anon16485264,

I have merged your post into an existing feedback request thread. Don’t forget to upvote there.
At the moment you’d have to download the file and attach it in your other task. Unless if the file is added to Google Drive or Dropbox for example then you can just use the shared link or attach it via the app extension.
Alternatively if the file was added with a comment then you can copy the comment link. The only problem with this is people who don’t have access to the other task won’t be able to see it so it isn’t an ideal solution either.

Saw another thread about this that had been closed. But ss there any update on the possibility of being able to do this? It would be helpful to drag and drop, or have add that has an option on the drop down menu of an attachment.

Any updates on this? We have several tasks that the next triggered task would need to see the attachment(s) and being able to add them to existing tasks or subtasks from a drop down menu would be a huge time saver.

I need this option! Currently, someone submits a form and attaches a spreadsheet. I need to then create a subtask (via automation) for a specific action item. This subtask is multi-homed to a project with a Jira integration. I’m unable to bring the spreadsheet from the parent task into this subtask, which is frustrating.

Using a shareable link does not work in the case since the spreadsheet comes from an external source. I also tried to get AI Studio to do this, and it cannot attach spreadsheets to subtasks.
