Missing touch target on comment box in task view (iOS) - Accessibility Issue

Hi Asana team and community,

I want to flag what I believe is an accessibility gap in the Asana iOS app. Inside a task view, the comment box does not appear to have a touch target, while every other interactive element in that same view does.

This is particularly important for users who rely on Apple’s Voice Control feature, which is built into iOS for people with disabilities who cannot use their hands to operate their phone. Voice Control works by locking onto touch targets to display numbered labels. Without a touch target on the comment box, Voice Control has nothing to grab onto, which means I cannot tap or activate the comment box hands-free.

Leaving comments is actually one of the most frequent things I do in Asana, so this is something I run into constantly.

Steps to reproduce:

1.	Open any task in the Asana iOS app.
2.	Enable Voice Control (Settings > Accessibility > Voice Control).
3.	Say “Show numbers” or “Show names” to display available touch targets.
4.	Observe that the comment box at the bottom of the task view does not receive a label, while other elements do.

Expected behavior: The comment box should have a touch target, like the rest of the interactive elements in the task view, so that it is accessible via Voice Control and other assistive technologies.

Actual behavior: No touch target is present on the comment box, making it inaccessible via Voice Control.

This is likely a quick fix for the engineering team (adding an accessibility label or ensuring the element is marked as interactive), but it has a real impact on users with disabilities. I appreciate any attention you can give it.

Thank you.

Hi @Amin_Lakhani, I’ve reported this internally. Thanks again for flagging it, and I’ll circle back if there’s an update. :raising_hands:
