Following the recent announcement about rich text in custom fields, text highlighting is now live in Asana’s rich text editor!
That’s right, now you can give important lines in a task description or Page a little extra visual lift, making shared work easier to scan!
What’s new?
- Select text in a task description or Page and use the rich-text toolbar to apply a highlight.
- Call out action items in a planning doc so teammates can scan next steps faster.
- Pull critical notes forward for reviewers without changing the rest of your formatting.
This launch builds on the Community conversation Add Colors to Text Formatting Options, where members asked for better ways to emphasize important text. The new highlight tool addresses the highlighting part of that request.
Quick notes
- For now, the first version includes one highlight color. Text color and multiple highlight colors aren’t included yet.
- Highlighting is available on the web, but highlights won’t display on mobile, and editing highlighted text on mobile removes the highlight.
We’re exploring additional highlight colors and refinements as we learn more from the people using this feature.
