Locking Options Across Custom Fields Together (Cascading selects)

I am trying to set up reporting for many different custom fields across many different projects. These custom fields are all related to our Associates. For example, I have a custom field for the Associate’s NAME. Then I have several other custom fields that are associated with that name, such as Team, Cost Center, Region, etc.

I have a rule in 1 of my projects that will automatically fill in the Team, Cost Center, Region, etc when the NAME is chosen… but it would be super helpful if there were a way to kind of “lock” custom field options together, if that makes sense? So that, no matter what project we were in, choosing that NAME would automatically change all of the custom fields associated with that name.

I have a project that is the Master Directory for our reference. Each Associate is a task line. The custom fields are all filled in, but I still have to manually set up the rules to connect it all together in other projects.

I’m sure AI could do it, but that would use a TON of credits. :grimacing:

We are currently on Asana Advanced. Perhaps an Enterprise plan with Rule Bundles would be helpful in this case?

I’ve moved this to where you can click the title to scroll to the top and vote by clicking the Vote button (as I just did).

Asana doesn’t have cascading select fields.

Bundles could help, but only in that it would allow you to apply a set of custom fields and rules related to them to a set of projects; it’s still not native support.
