I’m looking to measure the progress of my Goals by tracking specific tasks within a project, not the whole project itself. I have an “Operations” project that houses LMS, AI, & Documentation. One of my goals for the year is to implement and measure our new LMS platform. I don’t really want to create a whole new project for it because our projects are available across the People team, and I don’t want to clog our portfolio with 100 projects.
I was hoping to either select “tasks” as the measurement to link a task to a goal as I created it, or link a section within a project to a goal.
E.G. Link all tasks in the LMS Section of my Operations Project to my LMS goal or link LMS related tasks to my LMS goal directly from the task itself without having to navigate to the Goal Section to add the task to the goal after I’ve created it.
Hello I wanted to give Feedback that we would love the option to link Sections in a Project with goals and not only the Project or Task itself. Is that something you might be working on and we can expect in the near future?
Thanks for this feedback! Linking Sections to Goals (not just Projects or Tasks) is a great point, we can see how that would make goal tracking more granular and useful.
We’re adding this to our backlog for consideration in the next planning cycle. No commitment yet, but the signal is captured.

@Ruben_Stiefel,
You’ve heard it from the source (!) with @Olha_Vintonik’s reply, but still don’t forget to click the title to scroll to the top and vote by clicking the Vote button at the top-left; that’s the quickest and most effective way to express your support for a request.
I’ve merged your post into an existing topic.
Thanks,
