it is possible to extract the Asana updates per task? When I export my project, information in the ‘details’ view was not included in the CSV.

If by ‘updates’ you mean the activity log which includes comments and attachments, then no, unfortunately, you cannot currently export these to CSV.

I could not say, but I don’t see how it would be technically possible to export comments into a CSV. As for attachments, these are separate files which clearly cannot be embedded into a CSV file.
If you explain more about your use case and what you are trying to achieve, perhaps I could refer you to a better solution or 3rd party integration.
