iOS app reverts to list view

There is a project I always want to view in board view, especially in the app. When I’m in the app, it constantly reverts to list view. I can’t find a way to make board the default view.

I’m using the most current iOS & version of the app (8.59.0) on a new-model ipad air. Thanks for your support.

Hi @Christina9, welcome to the Asana Community Forum :wave:t2:

Can you confirm if this Project is saved in List view or Board view on the desktop version? The view in-app will relfect whatever view is saved as the default on the desktop version

I haven’t yet tried Asana on a proper computer, only the iPad safari version. However that process seems to achieve the desired app result. Unfortunately, I don’t care for the Board view on iOS Safari. The cards are overly large/empty and I can’t see the overview I need.

I’d like to just use one platform, but the strengths/weaknesses are so variable it’s not yet clear which path to take. I hope the team beefs up the iPad app soon.

Regardless, thanks for your prompt & clear help!

Thanks for getting back to me, @Christina9! At the moment, functionality is slightly reduced on mobile app compared to the desktop version - for example it is not possible to save a layout as default on the mobile app.

I would suggest logging into the desktop version and saving the layout as a Board view here. This will then be reflected on mobile. I hope this is a suitable workaround
