Improve session expiration timing

My Asana session at work expires every 7 days.

Having it be exactly 7 x 24 hours since logging in can break the flow of work though, as it is pretty much guarranteed to happen during working hours.

I often have multiple Asana tabs and windows open then, and logging in again tends to break those, so I have to start over.

It also causes the exact time I need to log in again to drift slightly every expiration. (The time between expiration and me logging in again)

The more likely I am using Asana at that time, the quicker I login, and the less it drifts.

Why not have time the session expiration at midnight local time, or whatever is the least likely time that people will have Asana open? That way it’s most likely to require login when you start work, not during work.

@Jan-Rienk this is outside of my domain, but I’ve shared with @Melat_Begashaw who owns this area!

I also suffer with the exact same issue, thanks to one of my customers that have enforced this on their guests, too! (me)
I think that’s a great suggestion @Jan-Rienk!

Hello Jan, thank you for this feedback! It’s very helpful to understand the pain points this is causing you. To understand your security better, does your org have any inactivity log outs as well? Or is it just the 7 day expiry?

Hi @Elaine_Winde,

I don’t think so. It’s just a weekly recurrence for me.
