Hey there,
I’ve had a perfect workflow which seamlessly added images as attachments to the Asana Tasks.
However, since this weekend, the PREVIEW of the images attached via API is not showing anymore.
Is that an incident, maybe related to the S3 hosting? Does anyone have any idea regarding that issue?
I can see the issue is also in the web app, @Joanna_Czarnobilska wanna raise it?

Same here. We’re currently running three linguistic reviews based on screenshots with several dozens incoming reports every day. This issue adds more manual intervention and clicks on my part so thank you for fixing this bug as soon as possible.

since this week I’m experiencing an issue with image previews inside tasks.
It happens with JPG, PNG and other image formats.
Upload works normally
But no image preview is shown
I only see the file as a generic icon or a download link
It happens in all tasks and with different file types (JPG, PNG, etc.)
Restarted computer
Tried different browsers (Chrome, Edge)
Cleared browser cache
Logged out / logged in
Tested on Asana desktop app
→ Nothing solved the issue.
The problem started only this week.
Files are normal-sized (not large).
No API integrations — uploads made manually.
Other team members also experience the same issue.

I’m also having the same problem; the images aren’t showing up in the task preview.
Good afternoon, is there an estimated time for the preview images of the asana tasks to be restored?
We are also experiencing this issue. From Monday morning, images staff are uploading via the iPhone / Android app or from a Zapier Integration we have no longer preview in the Web App. Yet images uploaded last week from the same staff members phones and the Zapier integration preview. It’s a huge problem for our workflow! I have submitted a support ticket but have not had a resolution yet.
Asana, please fix this! This is a huge setback for our team!
Ever since the recent redesign new card images do not show in board view.
Whether it’s added as a comment or even if you choose Add Card Image > Your Computer
It doesn’t display.
Older card images from tasks created and updated prior to the update are fine.
But any new tasks or new images don’t display.
Anyone else having this issue?
I’ve confirmed that the problem exists across multiple projects, as well as whether it’s a standard task, subtask, custom task type, etc.
The new redesign is awful, and the best thing Asana could do right now is bring back the previous version.

Can you confirm that you’ve toggled on the Show card images layout option?
Select options in the upper right corner, and you should see the option to turn it on.

This is a known bug; I’ve merged your posts with an existing thread on the topic.
Logged in today and having same issue. It was there last week but now gone today. Our team rely on images showing in Board view. And Yes, my show card images is toggled on.
I have noticed images uploaded in the last hour or so are showing with previews now. Anyone else notice the issue being resolved.
Hi everyone,
for the past 3 days Asana has stopped showing thumbnails/previews for any JPG files I upload. The images appear in the task as attachments, but the preview is completely missing.
It’s not related to file size — all images are well below 1 MB (around 50–100 kb). I’ve already tried different browsers, cleared the cache, tested incognito mode, and even uploaded new JPGs, but the issue persists.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem or is there a known issue with image previews at the moment?
