In advanced search, I can search by project (without specifying a section) and filter to subtasks only. This gives all subtasks in the entire project. Perfect.
However, if I drilldown the search to a specific section of the project, no subtasks are returned at all.
Any ideas how to get all subtasks in a specific project section?
I see what you mean. If you need to search by subtasks that are part of a specific section in your project, you’d need to add the subtasks to the project and then to the section. The search parameter “Subtasks → Subtasks only” will show you all subtasks associated with tasks which belong to the project, but it doesn’t currently specify the section of its parent task.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions!
Hi @Adam-Involute,
Your post was interesting, and I was able to reproduce the inconsistent behavior of the Advanced search.
I think we can narrow down the search using Asana API, but it’s not an easy solution for everyone.
The best way might be to propose changes from Product Feedback category.
I hope that helps!
