How to backup files/data to local storage?

Is there a way to allow us to backup Asana Files(attachments, etc) on our PCS/local disk shares? I don’t want to backup to Google drive.

Hello @anon96005191,

have a look at this post and the thread where a lot of export and backup options are mentioned such as Bridge24 and others.

Here is a post as well: Archiving Asana tasks locally? - #2 by Andrea_Mayer

And some info from Asana: eDiscovery and Asana • Asana Product Guide

I hope that helps

Hi @anon96005191

Our team has built Pro Backup for Asana which allows you to back up your data from Google Drive. I know that’s not what you are looking for, but the good news is that you can use Drive for Desktop (an app built by Google, not us) to automatically sync all files from Google Drive to your local device. It’s very easy way to extract all data and attachments from Asana to your local device.

Hello @anon96005191
Feel free to use my tool GitHub - Norreanea/AsanaBackupTool: This script automates the process of backing up tasks, comments, and attachments from an Asana project. It fetches task details, stories, and attachments, and saves them in a CSV file and organized folders. Users can specify their Asana access token, project ID, and the output directory.. It saves attachments in structured folders.

Hi @anon96005191,
You can try our solution - FluentPro Backup to backup Asana files. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to store them on your local disk as you wanted. However, it stores data on a secure Microsoft Azure platform.
In addition to Asana backup, the solution also offers automated data recovery.
