How do I make projects into subtasks of new projects

Hi!

I have a circumstance in which I wound up doing a few one-off projects here and there, tracked through Asana, which I would like to now consolidate under one umbrella project, as these projects have a thematic continuity and the collaborators want to be able to easily see and refer to these archived projects for the new work in this space.

So, if I have projects like

  1. Tony’s lemonade stand
  2. Tony’s treehouse
  3. Tony’s pergola

How would I consolidate these under a new project called “Tony’s House Improvements”?

Thanks,

Dheeraj

My best take is to create 1 project, you can call it ‘Tony’s Projects’
Inside Tony’s Projects, create 3 sections:

  1. Tony’s lemonade stand
  2. Tony’s treehouse
  3. Tony’s pergola
  • go to each projects above, multiple select the tasks, and then click Edit Project/section icon > Add to Projects
  • Choose ‘Tony’s Projects’ and section accordingly

Now the tasks would reside in 2 projects, you can keep it that way, or if you want, just remove the tasks from ‘Tony’s lemonade stand’

Once the project ‘Tony’s lemonade stand’ is empty, you can either archive or delete the project.

Repeat and continue for Treehouse and Pergola
