How do I link a daily task to an existing list?

There is a list. In this list there are tasks that are performed daily. When I finish a task from this list, it is automatically transferred to another list. How do I link a daily task to an existing list?

Hey @Anton14 can you clarify what you mean by list? Like a section/stage in your Asana project and you set up rules to move tasks automatically?

In terms of linking daily tasks to existing lists (again awaiting your clarification what you mean here)

In case you refer to linking a task to another task:

In case you refer to linking a task to another project then:

  1. if not in a project yet:

  2. if already in a project and you want to add it to another one as well:
    Screenshot_427

Does that help?

The daily task I complete is automatically moved to the main section. But I want this task to remain in the section I have set.

A section, not a list. I wrote incorrectly in the first post.

Do you have any rules running?

And have a look at the setting here: Recurring tasks show as "Recently Assigned" in My Tasks - #63

There are no current rules.
I click on the daily task to complete (1) and it is automatically transferred to the list (2)

Ok I see, yeah it seems to be due to recurring tasks in my tasks always showing up in the default first section when you complete them.

You can amend this in the settings:

Otherwise set up a rule in your “my tasks”. Now for the trigger you would have to see what you want to set up, could maybe be for all tasks added to the certain section or tasks with a specific custom field entry (you can potentially add one for task type and for all that have “recurring task” as task type the rule applies
