How do I create a rule for My Tasks that uses a Task's selected Project as a criteria?

Hi,

I’d like to have a rule running in My Tasks that checks for “If Due Date is Today” and then assigns that task to Section A if it is part of one project (Project A) or to Section B if it is part of a different project (Project B). I don’t see anything like “Task Project is …” in the Rules options and was wondering how I might accomplish this?

it’d be really helpful to be able to incorporate this into rules. Use case example: My company uses asana for our ad creative approval process as well as a “to-do” list. It’d be really great to be able to have there be a rule like this: when: task is no longer blocked - check if: task is in project [example project name for ad approval process] - do this: change custom field to: X. I use custom fields so I know where something is at in the process and if it’s something I need to: send for …

I believe your options are:

• If a limited number of projects and you might establish a single or multi-select custom field that tracks project membership (with other rules), then you could use this custom field to achieve what is missing from Asana.
• Consider using AI Studio (consumes credits)
• Consider using Script Actions (if Enterprise)
