In My Tasks, how does the Calendar view determine the arrangement of tasks? Is it based on due date, priority, or another factor? We’d like it to be sorted by priority - high on top, followed by medium, then low - but we haven’t been able to determine what drives the order in Calendar view.
Hi @Ciara_Sabud
I believe these are sorted by creation date and time, with the oldest items appearing first. If a task has a due time, it will sort above those that do not. To my knowledge, adding a priority filter would only exclude tasks that don’t fit that criteria, it wouldn’t actually change the sort order.
Is there a way we can rearrange the order and have it defaulted?
@Ciara_Sabud In week view, you can drag and drop to reorder, however, there is no way to default a particular sort at this time.
Hi @Ciara_Sabud , I agree with @Jeremy_Long on this one.
I do like your idea, though, so I will pass it on to our Product Idea as a suggestion for a future product change!
Another workaround I could think of is creating sections for tasks due today, tomorrow, the day after, etc. and have rules to automate moving the tasks to the appropriate sections and using this setup in board view instead of the calendar view. You can then use further group, sort, and filter options to optimise the layout. Not the same as the calendar view, but perhaps something that would work for you.
