Happy Friday, Community!
We’ve come across some wonderfully creative ways people use Asana, and this ramen-themed project from one of our Ambassadors is one we keep coming back to. It’s a great reminder that playful ideas can lead to powerful learning moments!
We’re sharing it here to spark ideas and encourage you to share your own fun Asana stories, food-related, unexpected, or anything in between!
Meet Asana Ambassador Naohiro Moriyama, who turned ramen recommendations into a team-wide learning experience. What started as a fun project quickly became one of the most deliciously effective onboarding tactics we’ve seen.
His recipe for success:
- Pick a topic everyone loves (ramen!)
- Make it social and fun
- Let the engagement simmer
Nao set up a relay-style Asana project:
- Person 1 shared a favorite ramen spot.
- Person 2 added theirs.
- And so on. No pressure, no deadlines. Just delicious collaboration.
The real surprise?
Teammates learned how to:
- Set up and manage a project
- Use task dependencies
- Try out Asana’s AI summaries
- Collaborate across functions
All without even realizing it.
Inspired by the idea, teams started creating their own fun projects: from sports leagues and party planning to meal prep coordination. All in Asana.
There’s still time to share your Asana (fun) story, and we want to hear it!
If you’ve ever used Asana in a way that made someone say, “Wait, you used Asana for THAT?”—this is your moment.
