It is very inefficient to have to go to the Asana app to add a task. Other programs (Omnifocus) have a hot-key (Opt-Cmd-O) which open up a “quick entry” box where you can enter the task, what project it’s in, assign it, and a delivery date. You can do this from literally anywhere on the Mac - whether you’re on the desktop, in an app, in the Omnifocus app, or anywhere.

While this feature isn’t available at this time, hopefully it’s something our Product team can implement in the future.

As an Asana user, I want to be able to dump an idea or task into Asana without ever switching my screen so that I can quickly get back into my workflow.
