I tend to run 2 ‘projects’ per project. A main project for all my planning etc. and a separate project as a UAT board.
We add our clients as guests to the UAT board only.
The clients complete a form to submit feedback, that creates a multi-homed ticket in the main project and the UAT board.
A client with a guest account has received email notifications on portfolio status updates. Is this right or a bug?
Is there a way for Asana admin to manage a guest accounts notifications? Because we only ever want them to receive notifications on the specific task they are part of and not the wider system as that contains info on all our clients and our internal progress etc.
In the portfolio, click Share and in the dialog, see if the guest or a team the guest is on is in the Members list in that dialog. If so, remove them because that’s the only way they can get such notifications in their Asana Inbox. (Note there’s also a Manage notifications link in that dialog you can look at, but it only applies to members, and that’s the source of the issue for you, I’d say.)
For any notifications that come to the Asana Inbox, it’s up to each Member or Guest if they want emails about them too. They set that in profile image > Settings > Notifications > Email notifications.
Things are similar for projects, but you mentioned portfolio notifications.
