Is there a way in a project to show the grand total of a custom field of “Amount” or “Currency” data type? Currently it appears to generate sub-totals within each section/group, but there is no overall total for the field that would represent the overall total for the project.
One way would be to remove the grouping (temporarily) by clicking the “x” in the Groups button:
Column totals will represent the sum of all visible tasks.
You could also make a new tab for that purpose if you want that available as a tab. Just start with the nearest tab you like, click it to show its menu, then do Make a copy and configure that one to remove the group and then click the Save view button.
Lastly, you could add a Dashboard chart on that tab for each sum you’d like to see, perhaps as a Number chart.
