Four-quadrant (2x2) matrix view

I find this view useful.

One use is similar to the Eisenhower Matrix.

In my opinion, all four quadrants are list views.

Hi @ka_nishiyama , perhaps you can now achieve this with swimlanes in board view?

Hi, @Richard_Sather .
As you say, it’s similar to the board view and swimlane, but I think it’s different in practical terms.
The reason is that the required functionality is a 2x2 matrix and list view (not a board).

It’s a shame that Asana recommends this( Eisenhower Matrix ) but can’t actually implement it in the UI.

Your request is interesting and I voted for it; it might not come up all the time but would be helpful at times.

You could implement the Eisenhower Matrix easily in Asana, if you’re willing to forego the precise 2x2 presentation. Create a single-select custom field with four values, one corresponding to each box, then in List view group by that field:

If you really want the 2x2 visual representation, I offered that a long time ago in Asana2Go (Disclaimer: I’m the creator):

Thanks,

Larry

Thank you very much.
I’m sorry I couldn’t find your post until now.

1- I’m already working on categorizing list view displays using custom fields. However, this requires using three custom fields and a combination of rules.

2- I’d prefer a 2x2 visual display. It would be nice if I could use Asana2Go, but unfortunately it’s not available in my organization’s environment.

  1. Sorry, I gave a simple approach requiring only one custom field and I’m not sure what the exact approach is you’re after, if you’re asking a question here, and I don’t think I can help because I can’t read the language to learn more.

Thanks,

Larry

I think @lpb 's Eisenhower Matrix available on his Asana2Go is your best bet, @ka_nishiyama .

What I was suggesting earlier, was using swim lanes in a Board view like this, but perhaps not ideal for most cases.

This could be powered by a rule that I think is what you were showing above in Japanese, right @ka_nishiyama ?

A list view could also perhaps work but it is definitely not providing the quadrant layout:

The alternative (low cost, no fields, no rules, but probably high maintenance) option would be to create a table in a Note view, like this:

That’s all I got :man_shrugging:
