Forms date not updating due date on tasks

Hi all,

I’ve looked up responses on the forum for this problem and all seem to say that we need to connect the form date field to the due date. I believe I’ve done this but I must be missing something.

Attached is a screenshot of my date field. What am I missing because my due dates aren’t updating?

Are you sure “Due date” is not a custom field you created, instead of the actual due date of a task?

Yes, I am. It is the only due date field available to connect to, there are no custom fields for due date. Creating a custom field would defeat the purpose as I’d like the actual due date to be updated from the form value itself. For some reason it is defaulting to 3 days from today always.

Oh, on the task creation no relative due date is selected either.

So you fill in the form, pick a date like “February 20th”, and the task created as a result as a date of February 12th? and there is no rule in the project?

Thanks again, yes that appears to be it. I’m sure I must be missing something. But none of the workflows touch the date. They’re just assigning a different owner based on the category. The form filler should be able to input a date but somehow, no matter the date I choose, today the requests go for next Thursday due date. The form is only available to the organisation but this shouldn’t impact the date selection I don’t think.

Found the issue - I knew there was something…. There was some rule that was added that set the due date by category. That’s solved the issue. Thanks for your help Bastien
