We’re just starting to explore building out clients’ strategic goals Asana. We manage 8 organizations. Half use the calendar year as their fiscal year, one runs July-June, the rest are on April-March.
Anyone have thoughts on approaches for managing this setting as applied to goals for orgs with different fiscal years?
I know I can set custom goal dates, just curious to hear others experience with this. E.g., does it impact reporting, etc.?
You won’t be able to have different fiscal year if all companies operate in the same Asana space… Do those 8 org collaborate with each other? Why not have 8 different accounts with different domains?
That’s not a feasible option for a few reasons. All of our staff emails are under a single domain for our company—not for each client—with non-profit budgets it’s not feasible to pay for separate plans for each organization.
Hy @Brian_Fewell ,
Understood, that makes sense! In that case, you can manage different fiscal years by using custom goal dates for each organization. To keep things organized, you could create separate teams within the same Asana workspace for each organization and label goals with fiscal year details (e.g., ‘FY23 Q1’).
