Filter Workload by custom field value

The Workload view is a great feature and one on the reasons we changed to asana (from Trello).
The only thing that is missing, is a filter for custom fields or tags etc.

Is there any chance a workload custom field filter is in development?

Thanks a bunch for your reply
Rory

Hi @Rory_Zuend :wave:t3:

You should already be able to sort your Portfolio by custom field by clicking on the said custom field.

Let me know if you have any follow-up questions!

Hi there

Thanks for your reply i must have missed that.
Thanks for the link, i looked at it an i think you misunderstood me.

I meant, the workload view.
There i can use the “task-count” option and filter by people.
What i was looking for was a way to only “count” tasks with a custom-field value.

So like if we add the custom-field “typ” to all our projects, then define “phases” of projects with a assigned user and start/duedate, with the custom-field “typ” set to “phase”, it would be perfect to be able to “filter” the workload-view by “phase” - so all “small-tasks” that also have a duedate don’t mess up the “task-count”.

Is that possible or maybe a feature-request that is open?

Here is a screenshot of where i mean:

Thanks for the clarification Rory and apologies for the confusion! That is not possible at the moment I’m afraid. I have moved your post to the #productfeedback category to allow you and other users to vote for this feature to be implemented. I don’t believe this is something we’re currently working on, but I’ll make sure to keep you posted when I have an update on my end.

cc @LEGGO as I believe you had a similar request in the past and might be interested in upvoting this request too!
