Field duplication when moving tasks from one project, created with a template from another

I created a project. (A)
Got (A) just how I wanted it and started using it.
I have since created a template from the project.
Created a new project (B) from the template.
Now, if I copy tasks from the new project (B) into the original project (A) I get duplicate fields.
For instance, even though effort, status and department exist as fields in both projects, instead of populating the fields in (A) with the task data from (B) I get two sets of fields in (B).

Any suggestions on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Mark_Thompson,

Is the custom field that you are using a global custom field?

You can check this by going to the field’s settings and check to see if “Add to [Organization Name]'s field library” is checked.
