Feature to remove completed tasks from workload

Is it possible to have an optional feature that when a task is completed it is removed from a team member’s workload view and the overall time allocated/allocation is adjusted?

Hi @Devushka_Blake, welcome to the Asana Community forum :wave:t2:

Great idea! Thanks for taking the time to provide this feedback! Hopefully this is something our Product team can implement in the future

I’ll keep you posted and let you know if we have any updates

Loving the new Workload product so far but when a task is complete, I’d like to remove its representation from the capacity trendline.

We are using the Workload feature in the Asana Portfolio view to determine the status of individual contributors regarding their current assignments and whether or not they are available to assist with additional projects.

Currently the workload view lists all tasks assigned to an individual regardless of task completion status; for example, Task 1 for staff member A was estimated to require 10 hours over 5 days. However, “A” was able to complete “1” in three days, regardless if few hours were required or A decided to allocate 10 hours to “1” within those three days.

A workaround is for “A” to adjust the duration of “1” so that it does not show up in the current day report. A nice to have feature would be for Asana to recognize a task as being marked complete and automatically exclude that task from the workload view for that day.

Hi @Gerald_Garcia, thanks for the taking the time to provide this feedback!

We do have an existing request for this feature in the forum already so I’ve gone ahead and merged your post with the existing one to consolidate feedback - I hope you don’t mind!

Any updates here, seems like it’s been a while …
