👉 Feature Request: Show Subtasks in Calendar View (with clear visual hierarchy!)

Hey everyone! :waving_hand:

My team relies heavily on the Calendar View to organize our weekly schedules. However, we keep running into a frustrating limitation regarding subtasks.

Many of our tasks represent larger actions, and they contain multiple subtasks with their own specific due dates scattered across the week. Currently, these subtasks do not show up on the Project Calendar.

I already know the classic workaround: “Just add the subtask to the project (Tab+P) and it will appear on the calendar!”

But here is why that isn’t a good solution for us:

  1. It’s too much manual work. I want to create them simply as subtasks and be done with it.
  2. Loss of visual hierarchy (the biggest issue): If I add a subtask to the project, it appears on the calendar looking exactly like a regular parent task. It clutters the view and confuses the team.

What we really need:
A simple toggle in the Calendar View to “Show Subtasks”.

But most importantly, they need to have a clear visual hierarchy. A subtask should look different on the calendar compared to a main task—maybe smaller, slightly indented, or with a specific icon—so we can easily tell at a glance: “Oh, this is just a subtask belonging to a bigger parent task.”

This would make weekly planning so much more accurate without cluttering the calendar. Does anyone else feel like the Calendar view is missing this visual depth? Vote up if you agree! :date::rocket:
