Export .csv task order modified since new sections implementation

Briefly describe (1-2 sentences) the Bug you’re experiencing:
When exporting a project in .CSV, the sequence of tasks is not the same in the spreadsheet compared to the one in the projets.
This started to happen following the implementation of the new sections.
There is a few task that are normally located below in the projects, that are exported at the top of the spreadsheet.
This oblige to reorder manually the task once exported.

Browser version: Chrome and Explorer

When exporting a project as a CSV all tasks are not appiering in the right order. They get extracted all mixed up and I have to rework the excel chart to put it in the same order as on my asana screen.

Hi @Natalia, I think I got the same bug as marie-pierre.bourbea. I wanted to export a project as csv and the fields appear to not match with the order of tasks in in the project. Is this a general bug that´s going to be fixed soon or do you need to investigate my case any further? Thank you!

Sorry to hear you are running into this. We have received some reports from other users experiencing the same issue and our engineering team is currently investigating these reports.

I’m having the same issue with exporting tasks from Asana, in that they are in a completely different, totally mixed up order to the tasks in the Asana project.

This is an important feature for us as we want to use the CSV sheet as a brief for clients. Please can you provide an update on when this is likely to be resolved.

Same issue here when exporting in csv file, the tasks order is totally mixed up. This is an important feature in my role since I have to frequently export a summary of tasks to my clients on a weekly basis. I have to spend at least an additional 15-30 min editing my exported file in Excel for each project.

When I export the spreadsheet of a project the tasks are out of order.

I’ve seen this too. Seems to be the norm.

Any updates on this yet? This has caused a big workflow issue for us because we use it to print our projects in a printer friendly view as well as a weekly status report. I’d love to get an update when this will be fixed. Thanks!

It seems that a lot of people are experiencing the same bug and that is generating extra work to everybody to have the tasks manually reordered. @Natalia can you let us know if we can escalate this request or prioritize it?
