I would love a feature to expand the width of the task view so you are able to view more text on the screen without having to scroll down. Currently I am having to use this feature (and Notion) to be able to take notes and see more during a meeting. This is a function Notion currently has called “Full Width”.
Hello @Nikki_1 ,
I have found these existing feedback request threads:
Currently the size of the Task summary pane, and if selected theTask details are fixed. Please allow for changing the width of each of these panes.
Thank You,
Mark Farzan
When I want to see the comments in a task and I chose “Full Screen” mode from the menu, I really want to utilize the whole screen NOT just approximately half of it (I have a large display).
The reason that this is helpful, is that often we may paste looong lines in the comment (eg from system-log files) and those are much better seen if the full width of the screen is used so the lines do not wrap.
Thanks
Clicking the sides of the page, when viewing a task in full screen mode, takes the page out of full screen mode. It’s ridiculously frustrating.
When viewing a task, you can hit TAB+X, or append /f to the URL, to view it in Full Screen mode. Once there, if you mouse click the grey area to the left or right of the displayed task, you get bumped out of full screen mode. I accidentally do this all the time, and it makes for an extremely frustrating user experience. Can this be changed?
We use Asana extensively and try to minimize email. Whenever I try to write a longish comment it is frustrating as only 10% of my screen is where I type - the rest what I don’t need at the moment. If I go full screen, I get the task in full screen- but I can’t get the comment section any bigger. Pretty much I get the same size comment section just in the middle of the screen.
Is there a way to make a bigger comment window?
Do any of these fit for what you are asking for?

@ShunS has made some magic with bookmarklets where he does something similar with the black bar on the left , not sure if this would be possible with a bookmarklet too?
