Everhour for the Desktop App

The solution would be asana implementig WPA (Web Progressive App) on their website. So from chrome the site could become a sort of standalone app with all the chrome extensions up and running. Everhour in this case. Hope they are planning on making asana WPA compatible.

Funny to see asana forum has WPA but asana doesn’t.

Same problem here…can’t move to the desktop app until Asana/Everhour integration works within the App.

Hi all,

It’s me who usually responds that time tracking in the Asana desktop app is impossible :frowning: Unfortunately, there is no technical possibility to appear apps built on Electron. @Edoardo_Castagna has the point mentioning that WPA could become a solution.

Yes we need it to work on Desktop app also to for our company to use it. Is really useful and would love to roll it out across our organisation but this lack of functionality is a significant blocker to that

For it to work on the desktop app, Everhour would need to develop a native app that the desktop version also supports. I wouldn’t expect that to happen anytime soon.

I spoke to someone from Everhour, and this is what they mentioned : Unfortunately, we do not integrate into the Asana desktop or mobile app, only in the web version where we use browser extension functionality. This technology does not work with apps, and Asana gives us no direct access yet to build support for our time tracking controls. This may change over time in case Asana will modify their app which allows us to integrate.

Let’s keep up-voting this feature so that it becomes integrated

Spot on! That’s what i managed to do. When using Microsoft Edge, you can create an app from any web page. So I created my ASANA app which if course means everhour etc sll work properly. BUT only when im onlige. No Internet connection means no live app changes.

This would be a handy feature, running into the same issues using Everhour.
