We can’t modify the work schedule in project templates.
As we don’t all have a weekday schedule, companies might want to default to a certain work schedule. (Maybe even set the default work schedule in the admin console)
So I’d want to be able to set the work schedule in my template, just like in a project.
I have found a workaround though, as the “work schedule” does seem to be carried over into a template when you create the template by converting a project into a template.
So for new templates:
- Start with creating the project
- Set the desired work schedule
- Save it as a template
For existing templates:
- Create a project from the template you want to adjust
- Adjust the work schedule
- Save it as a new template
- Remove the old template
- Ensure everyone knows where to find the new template
This does mean you’ll lose/mess-up all template related settings like relative timing and project roles.
