It would be great to be able to copy paths while creating rules for efficiency. For a super simple example, lets pretend my company operates in 10 locations. Let’s say I have a form, and the outcome of the form means a pitch deck needs to be created in each different location. The process for creating the pitch deck has 5 subtasks. Every city will operate with an identical process (same task description, same subtasks, same due dates), but they just to hit different assignees and projects relative to the location.
When I’m making the rule:
When task is added to this project (master project), check if city selection is Boston. Then create 5 subtasks that individually live on Boston’s project, and assign them to the Manager of Boston.
In this scenario, I have to individually create 10 different “otherwise if” rules determined per city, manually go in and add all 5 subtasks again, set all 5 due dates, attach them to projects, add assignees… an absolute nightmare of tediousness.
If I was able to copy Boston’s path 10x, I’d save a bunch of time just having to then change the city, assignee, and project.
I get there are other creative workarounds for this specific example, but this is one example. The general ask is that is that certain actions for certain organizations require “same but different” rules like this, and the current process is extremely inefficient. Thanks!
