This has been an ongoing problem for weeks and is a major irritant. What is going on here?
Just started noticing this issue lately as I’m reorganising tasks in My Tasks, lost a few tasks only to later find them inside another task as a sub task.
Coming here to say this is still a problem. Our company has been experiencing this as well and it’s been extremely frustrating and slowing down our processes.
Glad to see Asana is working on a fix for this, replying here because it’s definitely still a major issue & a hassle to work around/through, and would very much like to be notified when that fix is released!
Still no fix for this? This update is so annoying like for real. It rises my blood pressure when a task auto-collapse while organizing my tasks. Such a waste of time and energy.

The tasks still expand the subtasks as you try to drag and drop tasks where you need them.

Also sometimes tasks are accidentally inserted into the subtask of unrelated tasks and almost missed being actioned.
