Do Collaborators receive an email when they are added to a task?

When you add a collaborator to a task, do they receive an email notification that they’ve been added? If so, is there some lag between adding them and the email generating?

We are bringing in a few dozen collaborators on a large project, and I want to clearly communicate what notifications they will receive.

Within a few minutes, a new collaborator to a task will get an Asana Inbox notification of that fact.

Each person can configure whether such notifications are also delivered to their email. They do that with Profile image menu > Settings > Notifications tab > Email section.
