Display work-breakdown structure (WBS) in Asana

Hi,
currently in My Profile Settings > Display > Advanced Options
I can check a box allowing me to “Show task row numbers”

as a user, I would like to be able to see this information in a WBS format.
In addition, this indicator should be visible when I’m adding a task to a new project.

I am starting to use the trial version of Asana to complete an assignment and determine if I would use it going forward.

My request is to receive an answer to the following question.

Does a Work Breakdown Structure tempelate exist in Asana?

If yes, please provide instructions on how to find it.

Hi @Robert_Houser , welcome to the forum

If I’ve understood correctly, the closest thing to WBS in Asana would be to use the Timeline view (tab along the top) or to add yhe Gantt view to your project, like this

Alternatively, you could use a 3rd larty diagramming app like miro.com which has an Asana plugin where you can bring in Asana tasks as cards.

Great suggestion! Visualizing task row numbers in a WBS format would be a fantastic enhancement. This could provide users with a clearer hierarchical view during project planning and management. It adds a valuable layer of organization, making the system even more user-friendly. Looking forward to potential updates that incorporate this thoughtful improvement for a seamless project experience! Thank you for sharing this update.
