I am the super admin for my account, and my login is used by zapier to connect to our account. Certain zaps are failing because I “don’t have access” (which isn’t possible, since I’m administrator) - moreover, we cannot find the tasks using the task ID, we don’t find them. Pls help.
It sounds like you don’t have access to the tasks, not a Zapier issue.
You can confirm by using the Asana UI, logged in as the same user (administrator) and I suspect you’ll see an error that you don’t have access.
Org Admins have some rights (Admin console, etc.) but they don’t automatically get to see everything in an org’s Asana; they have to be invited (e.g., to particular teams and projects) in order to gain access.
Thanks,
Larry
I agree this is an asana issue, not a Zapier issue. I tried to create an asana support ticket but keep getting errors.
I am logged in as administrator - when I follow the task ID, I get a message I can’t access the task - I click on “request access” and have confirmed that no user in my company receives the message. (I also know that I have access to the project Zapier should be looking at.)
Is asana sending an incorrect task id to zapier (sometimes, but not always)? Or something else? Need help diagnosing!
I’m afraid there’s an issue with contacting support right now due to an unexpected problem with the new bot that was just rolled out at the start of the week. There’s another thread here about this and Asana is working on a fix.
I agree you should have Support help with this as the best approach to getting to the bottom of it…when that’s possible!
Thanks,
Larry
