Desktop app icon in the Windows 10 system tray hard to see with a dark taskbar

I’ve been having trouble being able to see the Asana icon on my Windows 10 system tray. If my taskbar is dark (usually controlled in Windows by Settings > Personalization > Colors > Choose your color > Dark), then Asana is a black three dot icon against a dark taskbar background. The only way I can make it more visible is to change my taskbar to a light setting (usually controlled in Windows by Settings > Personalization > Colors > Choose your color > Light).

Would it be possible to make the Asana icon different, like a solid white background with three red dots, like the usual Asana logo? Three black dots just blends into the background too much.

Hi @Avi_Poje, yes I completely agree, the black logo makes it very difficult to see. Can you please check your Asana System Tray icon again? I just checked on my Windows machine with dark mode enabled, and I’m seeing the three-dot Asana logo in white, so it is easy to see. I am on Windows 11 though and don’t have a Windows 10 test machine, so the OS version may be the issue. Please let us know what you see now on your machine.

Weird! Maybe it’s just a Windows 10 thing. I’m in dark mode and still have a black logo. I sort of fixed it by picking a custom taskbar color that lets the dots stand out a bit, but it’s still a little annoying.

It has a black icon on a dark taskbar also on my Windows 10 system, hard to find it… :frowning:

Still an issue, if you use these settings in the color section:

Choose your default Windows mode: Dark
Choose your default app mode: Light

Then the Asana icon is basically not visible at all:

Changing the default app mode to “Dark” fixes it but that’s not a proper fix.

Yeah I agree it’s not solved. Many of us set task bar to dark mode, but leave the app in light mode. With that combination, the app icons are hard to see in the tray.
