Dash Chart Bug - Can't Report Task Count by Assignee Filtered by Completion Date

Briefly describe (1-2 sentences) the Bug you’re experiencing: I am unable to create a chart based on Assignee and Task Completion, filtered by completion date.

Steps to reproduce: Add a new chart; select style lollipop; X-axis is Assignee; Y-axis is Task count; Filters - Completion date, within the last 2 weeks.

Browser version: Chrome, Version 109.0.5414.119 (Official Build) (arm64), MacOS

Upload screenshots below:

Just to be clear: your project does have tasks completed in the last 2 weeks? otherwise looks like a bug. Did you try creating the chart anyway? Maybe only the preview is broken/out of sync.

Hi @Arthur_Sierzputowski, if like @Bastien_Siebman said you don’t have tasks completed in the last 2 weeks on this project, this is expected. If you don’t, please write into support with the following info:

  1. Project URL
  2. URL of some tasks completed 2 weeks ago
  3. URL of this conversation to provide our team with context.

Without this info, it is hard to tell if this is a bug  Moving this topic to Closed for now, but looking forward to hear from you!

Hi Bastien and Marie,

Per your suggestion, I created the chart anyway. No data - it looks just like the preview from the screen I attached.

I don’t know if you have permissions to see this, but here is the project and at least one task that was completed in the last 2 weeks.

Project: Log in - Asana
Completed task: Log in - Asana

I’ll also send this to support.

Hi @Arthur_Sierzputowski , is this task assigned to anyone?
If not, this will logically result in the blank chart you are seeing.

Hey @Richard_Sather - excellent call. That was the issue for this report.

It was hard to really tell how that report works. I was assuming that anyone marking the task complete would be what was being checked by the report. That certainly would be the best way to run the report, as many of us remove assignments from completed tasks so that our boards are cleared of clutter and remain focused on what remains to be done.

once a task is completed, you remove yourself as the assignee? why?
