Custom Field Data is Not Populating on Reports

I am trying to report on a custom field (amount budgeted) that is universal, but only used in six of 20 or so projects. When I create a report to show the total by project, the report does not populate with data. It allows me to set the Y access to show “budgeted” but does not show any data or projects, even though there are 6 that it could report on.

For whatever it’s worth, it IS allowing me to show totals for custom fields that are NOT universal. Does anyone have any ideas about what I might be doing wrong?

Do you have your budget on the tasks inside those projects or on the projects themselves (i.e., in a portfolio)? If it’s on the tasks, you’ll want to change that second dropdown to Tasks (instead of projects).

Ah, got it. They are attached to the tasks, yes. This was it - thanks so much for your help.
