CSV Import Issue: Sections created, but tasks are not mapped to assigned section

I am trying to import a CSV into Asana to create a new project.
When it uploads, it creates the sections, but it adds all the tasks at the top separately.
It does not add the associated tasks under the assigned section.
Does this have to be done manually?

Welcome, @brandykshreve,

In the first screenshot of your CSV file, I think the problem is that you are using separate rows for sections.

Instead, don’t use those rows, and place the section name, e.g., May 2026, in each and every task row’s Section cell (Column C in the example) to have it mapped into that section.
