Is it possible for a person to create a task, directly, by an email that’s not assigned to an Asana’s account? Or, to do so, is it obligatory to have an account?

Just had a try of this with an non Asana Account. Bad news you can’t. Or good news in that if you could can you imagine all the Spam Tasks that would be generated 
So Yes you need to have an Asana Account or associate that email Address to your Asana Account.
