Creating Projects from Forms

I would like to set a rule that either (1) creates a project, rather than a task, based upon the input in the form; or (2) once a task is created upon submission of the form, a trigger converts that task into a project.

I haven’t found a way to do that and am wondering if someone has solved this.

Hi,

Rules in Asana run inside a project, they can’t create a project. Maybe The Asana automation bible: all the triggers and actions from Asana, Zapier, Flowsana, Make.com can help!

This is available in Flowsana via an If-Then rule; here is an example of what it would look like to create it:

In the above example, “Department” is a custom field that’s mapped to a form question. You can see how you’re able to have the project’s name be set so it includes the task name and/or any custom field.

Thanks to everyone for the heads up and pointers for a newbie. No idea whether our company licenses any of flowsana, zapier, etc. . . . but will check.
