Create subsection in the task and not only in the subtask
@AlessandroBernardo - even though you cannot create subsections in task lists, you can get a similar effect by using the Group By button and doing a group with a subgroup.
So, you could Group By Section, and subgroup by Task Status (or any other single/multi-select custom field).
This is what I was missing! Thanks.
But in this way i have to have the same “subsection” (created by subgroup as you said) in all the groups. I wanted to create different ones in each section and i think it is not possible with the solution you proposed.
Can you explain the why a bit more and expand on your use case? What do you try to achieve with it?
My goal is that if I assign a subtask to a member of my team and then I go to check his activities and filter them by project it must not be grouped in the “no project” section because in fact it is an activity belonging to a project .
The point is that if that activity is a main one then it will be displayed correctly in the project it belongs to while if it is a subtask then in the filter mentioned above it will go to the “no project” section.
So I wanted to get around this by only using main activities but still maintaining separations in sections with subsections. If there are other alternatives I am open to listening to them to achieve the goal mentioned above.

Can you not assign the subtask to your project? It’s explained in the video I think
