Create a chart that tracks incomplete tasks by day (or week or month)

Hi,
I am looking to create a chart that tracks incomplete tasks over time - ie, have the incomplete tasks growing over time or reducing …

So, on x axis would be date (or week or month) and Y axis would be the incomplete task count. There was no option that I could find in the charts to set this up.
