Completed custom tasks not showing up on dashboards as a completed task

I LOVE custom tasks. They are a game changer! The only issue I am having is that they aren’t being counted as a task when marked complete. So for status updates, dashboards, and on my home page, it says I have only completed one task, because it is not counting all of the custom tasks that I have marked complete.

It doesn’t give my leadership a true view of the work I have done, and, on a personal note, it takes away a little bit of the satisfaction I get from seeing that completed task number go up.

Has anyone seen this or does anyone have a workaround?

Hello!
Sorry this isn’t working for you as you expect it. I know that can be a bit :face_with_steam_from_nose:

I attempted to replicate an issue similar to what you are experiencing and I had no luck. If you have not tried it, what you could do is to double-check the settings of the dashboard where you want your productivity to apear. Here is a screenshot of how it looks:

I hope that helps!

@Reaganimal,

Are you sure your custom task type statuses are coded as “Complete” as shown in the right column here:

In a project, I confirmed the default Dashboard chart for Completed tasks reflects both regular completed tasks and custom task types if coded Completed.

I didn’t check about status updates or Home page, so you might Try these troubleshooting steps, then please create a support ticket: see How to contact our Support Team.

Thanks,

Howdy @lpb!

I did confirm this. Here’s a screenshot:

For context, here is a shot of my completed task view:

As you can see, there are a lot of them from the past week that have been completed.

On my home page, this is what it says about my completed tasks for the week:

And then here is what happens when I try to add one of the highlight charts to my status update:

And @Miguel.Hernandez you’re right about the charts in the dashboard! They do show up as complete there. We can scratch that off the list! Thank you!

I hope all of this makes sense.

I think your best bet is Support, as I mentioned, at least re Home page, which I just confirmed. Tell them that it reflects tasks, milestones, approvals completed, but not custom task types, which is a shortcoming. Perhaps status is for the same reason but I didn’t check that.

You didn’t show screenshots about Dashboard which is working properly for me for custom task types:
