Number of incomplete tasks in portfolio view

Hi All,

I have a Portfolio with various projects. In the portfolio you have the option to select: Progress Type: “Task”. However, what I want to see is the number of incomplete tasks. Is there a way to show this for projects in the portfolio view.

Hi Niels,

When you hover your mouse over the progress bar, you should see the number of incomplete tasks like this:

@Thaïssa_iDO That indeed I have seen as well, but it is not the answer I need.
When I have a report like this (the portfolio) I want so see the numbers directly. I don’t want to hoover over the individual projects to see the information. Additional I want to sort on the number of tasks.

Ok so you can try this solution,

You can create a number custom field in your project and add two rules :

  1. 1st rule to add “1” as value when a task is added to the project
  2. 2nd rule to add “0” as value when a task is completed

This custom field should be added to your library.
Then you can add a Rollup of this number custom field in your portfolio.
You will be able to sort on the number of tasks.

Thanks for the suggestion. Maybe I’m going to investe some time in trying to get this working. However, for me it is more a problem that I even need to do this and that it is not by default available (in this expensive product).

I like the flexibility and options to customize, but some default functionality / behaviour keeps on missing. But that is not your problem.

Best way to increase the chances of this being implemented is to find a related thread in Product Feedback and add your voice, or create a new thread. :slight_smile:

When doing this it’s always good to emphasise the why behind the request.
