The lack of threaded comments in tasks seems like is should be a basic function. Almost every platform has threaded comments. User experience critical.

I avoid Slack like the plague already, thanks to Messages in Asana…but threading would be a nice add!

Asana is definitely monitoring the votes and also views for all the product feedback request threads. However they do not always comment on every single message in feedback request threads.
If you look at the features Asana has released over the past months you will notice there are quite a few, including some well requested ones from the forum.

See how easy it is for me to see your response to Bruno? Yeah, it’s super easy because this forum has threaded comments. Novel.
I’d say it’s pretty ridiculous that this is still not rolled out (hopefully it’s at least been in development). Since this and other such critical features, which competitors have had for years, are still missing, it’s beginning to feel that Asana is unusable.

They are totally loosing it at Asana; Clickup3.0 is way in advance and now Microsoft Loop is also gearing up…
Come on, it has been 5 years since this thread was started. This should not take more than a few weeks to implement. Looks like I am going to have to request my org to shift to something else from Asana.
Even the ability to quote a comment in response would be a step up.

I’ll add my voice to this feature request. We’ve been trying various ways to format tasks so we can keep track of the multiple conversations, but sub-tasks have their own limitations. Threaded comments would really be useful.
Please consider implementing this feature.

I gave my vote to this feature…
However, I don’t totally agree to have threads or comment trees, no need to go that far and end up searching in threads for a specific comment. 
A Reply button for each comment though… sounds really handy and useful!

Hi @Elina_P , I agree that it would need to be carefully designed to be truly useful and not add unnecessary complexity. But I think there is good potential with this general concept. I added my vote above as well.
