We have a project that tracks client users through multiple tabbed views.
Within each tab, there are 4 sections and depending on the tab, these sections will either be collapsed or expanded to show the relevant data. The problem we are having is that after saving the appropriate view, they appear to reset back to all sections being expanded, the next time we view the project.
Hi @George_McDougall , are you by any chance using the Group button to group by a custom field instead of Sections? (I can’t tell cos your screenshot has cropped the view options).
If the answer is yes, then that is currently the expected behaviour. Save view tabs will retain collapsed/expanded Sections, unfortunately not groups of custom field values/options.
Hi @Richard_Sather, I’m not using Groups, but am using Filters and Sorts. Would these also affect it?
Filters and sorts are saved. You mentioned “sections”, but in some cases those sections are created by a specific “group by” used. If this group by is not “Custom sections”, then it won’t be saved (for now).
Here’s what I have, so based on what you’ve said the sections should save, but they aren’t doing this.
did you realise the “save view” will only apply to the tab you are in, and not all tabs? each tab has a different setup you can save
Yes, I am aware that it only saves the view of that specific tab.
